Post 3 No Pain No Gain

Ever heard that saying, "No pain, No gain!"? I learned the meaning first hand recently. First, this blog was not my idea. My Mom thought it would be a good idea. I agree totally, but, it is getting hard to plan out what to post. Secondly this blog has to have posts twice a week. It's hard to find time to post and the editing is murder.

It is getting closer to the end of the year, very few days left before the break. We have worked hard to earn the following rewards. The combined classes (mine and another class, same grade) got together for their end of the year party. It was fun. There was Curried Chicken (sorry dad can't eat lunch), fruit, chips and drinks. Besides that after lunch we went out and played soccer baseball as another reward (there were other plans but the power went out due to fire in power lines). We lost but we had fun running kicking and running some more. Once I kicked it super hard and it flew far. I got as far as first base when the ball was sent to first and hit me. It bounced off me just as I got to first base, we all laughed. It goes to show what it means to work hard.We didn't do our best work in that game and we lost.

The power came on later and we went in (another reward) and watched some students present an anti-bullying video. Then, we played board games till the end of the day, we've earned it. After me and my brother got home, we went to music lessons. Last week, I got two things from the vending machine inside the building. I ate one then and there, this week I ate the other one. Two years of practice at music here have made us better players. We hope to learn more in the coming summer and beyond.

I have worked on this particular post over the week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (Today). At the end of the week I will get a reward for my determination and grit. Tomorrow is Friday and I hope this post merits said rewards.

Tomorrow is the last day of school (technically not a full day, just half) and my best friend might not be there. I told his sister that I would pay her fifty bucks if she could convince him to come. I hope he shows up because most of the kids are going out for lunch and I can't, so I may be left alone. That doesn't sound like fun. It sounds like pain. But in the end it will end well, I hope.

Today, I told my friend that the end of the year party won't be any good without him. He thanked me for the compliment, but said he still won't go. Stubborn Son of a Gun, don't get me wrong, he is cool and he uses and understands the saying "No pain, No gain". He knows that he needs to get work done before he can have time to himself. It helps him through life and will be big to him later.

Good luck at the end of the year and enjoy your hard earned summer. I hope you have many adventures that give you memories that will last lifetimes. I will keep you posted on my adventures stay classy.

P.S.
Grit and Determination will get you far in life if you use it. Take it from me, if what you plan on handing in isn't your best work, don't hand it in.

P.P.S.
Speaking of Baseball, I have a joke involving it.
"I wondered why the ball was getting closer. And then it hit me!"
